SCORing Atopic Dermatitis (SCORAD)

SCORAD is a clinical tool for assessing the severity (ie, extent, intensity) of atopic dermatitis, combining objective and subjective criteria.

Disease activity is assessed by grading:

Area (A) /

To determine extent, the sites affected by eczema are shaded on a drawing of a body. The rule of 9 is used to calculate the affected area (A) as a percentage of the whole body.

Head and neck 9%
0% 25% 50% 75% 100%

Left upper limb 9%
0% 25% 50% 75% 100%
